In grade 10 we worked on robot character designs, for this year, we will be working on bipedal stylized human characters.
We can start by choosing a character from a story we love, or a character from a movie, a video game, and or even an amalgamation of a few characters re-envisioned to a completely a new character.

Anatomy Studies
Studying human anatomy will be beneficial for those students who are interested in getting into Medical fields at the post-secondary level, including programs such as Illustration, Animation, Art, Design & Architecture.
I personally love following 3D Artist who have been so meticulously studying anatomy in order to improve their character creations process. I would like to encourage you to study the images below, first by tracing over the models to appreciate the human anatomy in terms of its proportions, giving the artist the power to exaggerate when the need arises. Notice how you can study the skeletal system on its own, proceed to study the layers of muscles that are hid below the skin; I would suggest that you study the big shapes, then work your way to adding layers of information- avoid getting into the minutia of detailed information, simplify then add.
